AS Roma Corner Routine To Conclude 5-0 Champions League Win

AS Roma netted with a subtle corner kick routine which finished off a convincing 5-0 home win over Viktoria Plzen in the UEFA Champions League as Edin Dzeko headed home.

We broke this down and recreated it using Globall Coach to demonstrate the roles of the attacking players which allowed Dzeko the space to find the back of the net.

Roma kept pushing for more goals despite being already 4-0 up. An aggressive set up with seven players in attacking positions in and on the edge of the penalty area.

Five of those attackers made front post runs to drag defenders away from where the ball is to be delivered.

Dzeko is the target, and he is allowed a bit of time and space to get a header on target by Steven N’Zonzi with a subtle block on a defender.

Simplicity and subtlety which was used to excellent effect.
